Hey guys! Just wanted to post a couple reminders as we start this wonderfully cold weekend!!!

**We are CLOSED January 1st thru January 15th.**

**We ARE booking for 2009!!**

As you all know very well my dates fill up quickly - if you want to book in advance for Spring, Summer, Fall please do - it will help you get the date/time you want! Also remember that new pricing took effect January 1st as well, so if you are needing a breif summery of the changes to get the low down - we can send that your way too!!

  You can still email and leave voicemails - just gonna take a little longer than normal to get back with ya’s since so much is going on the next 2 weeks!! SO I wanted to give you a heads up juuust in case there were any delays!!

Peek [ "C", newborn ]

December 27, 2008 – 9:46 pm

Finally, I got to meet “C”!! HURRAY! After 2 weather delays today was the day! We got to use natural light for most of his shoot but then had to switch over to studio ( thank goodness I bought one along!) because my-oh-my, the weather turned, started raining and it got super gloomy! …turns out there were even tornado watches going on - who knew?! ….I’m telling you what our weather so far  since November has just been weird - or wierdy as my boys like to say ;)

So here is “C” in all of his teeny tiny glory - let me tell you, it’s such hard work being a newborn model but he sure was a trooper! He’s in the 6 pound range and so to me, he was just teeny - I could have just cuddled him all day long. Newborns are just the definition of perfect in my eyes - I love everything about them and “C” was no exception - I simply can’t wait to watch him grow and grow over the next year.  Such a great honor as the photographer to be the one capturing the very first year of his little amazing life. *swoon* Life is awesome.

This first one I have to show ya first, it makes me giggle even now….

then next up…..look at all of that hair!!! It was so “healthy” looking too - is it wrong to be jealous of a newborn? hehehe!

And of course a close-up to end out his debut session - check out the beauitful face - melts ya, does it? :)

That’s all for today everyone! Unless another baby is born in the next 3 weeks then I will have no more peeks until January 15th as we will be Closed to prepare for the new year!!! Its gonna be NEW NEW NEW around these parts - updating the Blog, the website, allllll sorts of stuff to come!!

You guys have a WONDERFUL ringing in of the New Year if I don’t get to post again before then!!!

Peek [ Newest Framing! ]

HI GUYS!

Did you have a Merry Christmas? I hope it was wonderful and filled with love! We had an AMAZING Christmas…ours however is not over, we still have 2 more to celebrate before we bring in the New Year but if they are even 1% as wonderful then I think its safe to say Christmas 2008 was a huge success :)

 I am spending a few hours in the office today getting some things done while my beautiful boys play with some of their new toys! I thought this was a great time to give you all a little peek of my newest framing!!! …I had to giggle because the name of this line of framing is called “Lollipop” and we all know how I feel about lollipops, haha…its like it was meant to be!!! *wink*

Here are 2 tiny snip-its of the TRIMS that will be avialable, you’ll have to stay tuned to see the beautful frames in January…

 

   I’m SO excited to add these for you guys- so colorful and non-traditional! Plus you guys know how I’m a HUGE fan of color and these frames are SOOOO ME its just ridiculous! I mean shouldn’t your frame just ADD to the image on display?? Yes, they should!! Just one more way to make the image scream ART! LOVE IT!!   …OH and you will have to watch for framing sales on the Blog - certain months/days/weeks will have some AWESOME deals!

  Okay folks, signing off for now! I really do promise there will be a newborn posted soon as well…I didn’t forget, unfortunately we have had some weather delays *sigh* - hasn’t this weather been just fabulous? Not so much! haha!

Peek [ "S" 6 months ]

AHHH! Look at this boy! Last time I saw him he was a tiny little newborn, and NOW look at him, he’s huge! Oh my sakes, this boy is so cute I just wanted to cuddle him all up! I promised to get a sneak-peek up ASAP for these guys because they were headed to see some family and wanted to show off all his cuteness - Um, I don’t blame them one bit - he’s adorable!!!

Okay here he is, Mr “S” in all his glory, hehehe!! (Jenny, It was so GREAT to see you guys again!!)

 

 

 

   Seriously - stinkin’ CUTE!!!! Can’t you just see him at a year old? He’s going to look about 4 though, HAHA! ;)  I’ll be back Monday if the weather holds out, a sweet peanut was born and so of course I’ll be posting a peek for his mommy! Have a GREAT Saturday everyone!

2009 [ News and Updates! ]

2009 is getting here SO QUICKLY!

I thought I had better put a few “Need to Know’s” for all of my wonderful, fabulous, amazing, incredible clients…old and new! ;) First of all, if you head over to my poor neglected  website you will see a new intro…here is the 1st part for ya…

I thought I had better let you guys know that over the next few weeks and well into January there will be a ton of changes and updates over there! So I’m sorry in advance if for the “mess” as I updates in pieces at a time!!

    I’ll be sending out an email when it’s all complete so then you know for sure to check it out! …and of course I’ll post here for you blog stalkers as well ;)  But Here are a few things to watch for in 2009!

**Shellie Benson Photography will be CLOSED January 1st, 2009 thru January 15th, 2009!**  You guys have made 2008 SO amazing I have to literally shut down just to have time to make all of these changes in the works ”official!” THANK YOU!!

**TONS of new images in every gallery as well as a website “overhaul” if you will! ;)

**NEW pricing, effective January 1st, 2009! Including awesome new products, brand spankin’ new collections, beauuuuitful new albums and sizes, new custom framing prices…SO MANY THINGS!! You guys are going to be SO excited, I know I am THRILLED at all of the amazing changes!!

   Okay seriously ya’ll, that hardly even puts a dent in it…2009 is going to just ROCK! You guys have made the past few years of my business simply amazing and it’s thanks to each and everyone of you I am able to offer so much more in 2009 and have so many wonderful and exciting changes!!! I can’t wait to see what 2009 brings - I have THE BEST clients in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD, I’m totally 110% convinced of it. My business changes will just further get to give you guys more, more, more!!!! I LOVE THAT!!!

  My business is truly my heart, and each and every day is a blessing - watching it grow and change over the past few years has been a literal dream come true…thank you for letting this little ole photographer live out her passion every single day of her life.

Peek [ Newborn "O" ]

December 16, 2008 – 1:39 am

Ohhhh I promised I would get a peek up today….well, I have 22 minutes before today is over, so I better get hoppin’!

This is baby “O” and ohhhhh my, he did SO well today! Normally newborn sessions are shot before 2 weeks old - but we couldnt get this little guy in until today and hes over a month old - let me tell ya, its usually very hard to get that cozy newborn cuddly look at 1 month old but as you can see he gave us no trouble at all!…yet another baby who loved the heat ;) I had such fun with him today!! …I was having one of “those” mornings and then it was time to shoot and all my troubles melted away…amazing how one perfect little baby boy can do that ;) The rest of the day was just wonderful so I will thank little “O” for his fabulous session, all of his perfection and brightening my day!

Here are a couple keepers that jumped out at me this evening!

Doesn’t he just melt your heart?! He sure did mine.

 Christian, Amy and “O” - It was great you meet the 3 of you today!!!

Peek [ "E", 6 months ]

Okay Im in SUCH a hurry right now - I got a little side-tracked so I hate to say this but I need to hurry and get this one posted!!! This is Miss E and she is SOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!  Oh and so is her big sister even though you wont get to see her, hehehe!! But in my rush I will just get to the cuteness for you!

 

I have one more to post but its giving me fits!! I’ll try and get one more posted later after I shoot :) So sorry Im in such a hurry - bad timing for Shellie!!

Peek [ "J" aka perfect baby ]

  You guys of course will remember “J” from his 6 month session and his pouty face! I always get emails about those pics of him! …Every 3 months I swear the child gets cuter and cuter!!! He just has the cutest little face!!! His momma has to think im koo-koo as much as I swoon about him, but honestly LOOK AT HIM! …Oh, he makes my heart just skip a beat with that sweet face!! *sigh*

Okay here we go just a couple from his Session Saturday! I think Im going out of order now that I think about it - I have another session I need to peek too and it just dawned on me! WHOOOPS! I’ll go get that one ready too - its a baby girl who is soooooooooooo adorable!!

Okay here is J and all of his glorious cuteness!!

Seeeee? I mean seriously!! Ack, I am just convinced he is to cute for words! Okay - off I go, I’m going to work on my next sneak peak before its time to shoot again!!

Showcase [ L ]

Oh wait until you see “L” - first of all I love, love, love her name - it’s SO adorable!! But I don’t put kiddos names on the blog - just know it’s CUTE! Anyway, so yeah she the cutest little girl and was SO fun and easy to photograph - such a doll!! She let me hold her and brought me all sorts of goodies thru the session, leaves and berries and sticks - um, she melted my heart!!!! I could have stayed with her about 5 hours, hehehe!!!! …you think my weakness for little girls has ANYTHING to do with it?? Okay possibly but sheesh she was so sweet!!!

   Okay 1st shot is my FAVE but I still love them all *swoon*…what a peanut

SO CUTE! …I’m on a roll, maaaybe I’ll get another posted!! Wooooo - you guys might just pass out from shock though since my poor blog has been so neglected for like a month!! *wink*
